Great food for a very good price! We never walk away spending more than $20-$25 for the 2 of us. Service can be hit or miss at times, but the servers are very nice and usually pretty quick to get you anything they forgot.
Besides serving your standard Mexican food, they do have a few veggie options, including cheese quesadillas, cheese enchiladas and chiles rellenos. We've brought different friends here several times and they always leave satisfied (and have continued coming back).
We've been here plenty of times for their breakfast and dinner. La Rueda is BYOB so bring a bottle of champagne and turn your breakfast into a brunch or bring your favorite beer for dinner! Definitely recommend this place. -

I had the chicken tenders and let me tell you they were bomb. I ate the whole plate! The fries were very hot and tasty, and the tenders were juicy. I will be coming back for brunch again.

We eat at "the wheel" quite often. The food always comes out fast and the portions are huge. I almost always leave with enough leftovers to form another meal. Even when the whole building is full and we were seated upstairs, we had our order within 10 minutes of placement.
On my last visit I got a beef burrito that was gigantic and under $6. I didn't think it was going to be this big. My wife usually orders the La Rueda platter, which comes with a taco, chalupa, enchilada, rice and beans. They'll give you a free to-go fountain drink or iced tea if you ordered one with your meal.
The FWPD sure likes La Rueda. There's usually a couple of officers in there grubbing down. Lots of city employees, firefighters, and dog catchers frequent the restaurant.
If you're a chips and salsa aficionado - you'll enjoy a visit. The cold salsa is delicious and full of flavor, and the chips are thin, warm, with the perfect amount of salt. I've eaten enough chips to wish I made a smaller meal order before.
Wednesday (beef) and Friday (chicken) are lunch fajita specials for 5.99, which is a spectacular deal. The brisket sandwich is excellent and the same price daily. -

I meet here with others nearly every week for breakfast. Everything comes out as it's plated, piping hot. The gals don't mix it up as much as the guys. I gotta say, fried pork chops or chicken fried steak with eggs are a big hit with them.
I have dietary restrictions and so does another guest, they are always happy to accommodate.
The refritos are the real deal. Chorizo and eggs is never greasy and the omelettes are huge!
We're so thankful to have La Rueda in our neighborhood. -

Really enjoyed this place. I got there at 8:45pm with my family as they were about to close at 9pm. Instead of turning us away they welcomed us in and never rushed us as we were eating. The food was good. I get homesick for authentic Mexican food quite often. I was happy I had the chance the eat there during my visit home. I'll def go back when I'm in town again.
